About Me
- MrsSchmidt
- I wouldn't call myself an expert at film history, but I've always had an interest in it. Years ago, I took my first film analysis class and it changed the way I thought about movies when I watched them. It opened my mind and broadened my perspective in a way that made movie watching so much more enjoyable. Now when I watch movies I'm able to look beyond the surface story and really dig into the heart of the film maker's message. I notice things like color and camera angles and it makes me feel like I know more about the movie than the average Joe. The whole movie experience has changed for me and I hope that this class opens the same doors for you as well.
Since the 1950's, the movie industry has really made movie watching a great experience. Since then, film makers are able to create 3-D effects and use green screen which makes the visual images more entertaining to watch. Film makers have also created a way to make fighting and such seem more real which makes the film also seem realistic.

Special effects have changed since the 1950's extremely and have really improved. They created the green screen for movies to make the effects and backrounds more interesting which they didnt have in the 1950's. Also, they made fake fighing look a lot more real in movies with simple things like, makeup, sound effects and different fighting skills. All of these things have made movies more enertining and fun to watch.

Since thee 1950's special effects changes the way we see movies so much. Instead of actual scenery or props, they now use blue and green screens. There is also a technique called CGI or Computer generated imagery which could have never been done before.
ReplyDeleteSince the 1950's special effects have gotten more realistic and efficient due to new technology and new ideas. They used to use mashed potatoes as ice cream and Hershey's chocolate syrup as blood since the television was in black and white. Now they have come up with so many great ideas in the movie world. Including CGI (Computer Generated Imagery), Green screen, Blue screen, and so many more ideas.
ReplyDeleteSpecial effects, since the 1950's, have immensly changed and redifine the way we see films. The special effects have become more realistic, like with green/blue screening. Film makers have created CGI, and 3-D effects. Also, they have found a way to make fight scenes more believable and prevent the "misses" from being apparent.

Compared to what mankind has come up with today and special effects in the 1950s we have come a long way. Our fighting skills have evolved more definite and more substantive in ways we have never witnessed before.CSI also initiated a new domain, making it evident for a new surreal experience for the viewers. Overall, special effects have made films more realistic. Who knows what the next special effect will be?

ReplyDeleteSpeical Effects is one of todays major movies makers. Special Effects is what sells in boxoffices. Movies like Avatar, and 2012 are really good examples of speical effects today compared to what they were back in the 50s. Like the Godzilla clip we watched, thats a really bad job, but for back then it was amazing. Its cool to think how far we have advanced in our technology.

Special affects has really come along way since the 1950s technology has advanced so much and, made special affects that much better. 3-D is a really cool thing in special affects it makes the things in the tv screen pop out at you. Another way special affects has advanced is CGI it makes it that much easier for the actors and the graphics so much cooler.
ReplyDeleteIn the 1950s the tchnology was just coming out to make special effects. Today we have almost perfected most special effects and we have made 3D a regulaur movie. We have come out with 3D laptops and tvs. CGI is almost realistic for most movies that are generated that way. We have the techniques to make fighting seens seem realistic and explosions.
ReplyDeleteIn the 1950s they did not know about the technology. Like the green sceen and 3D glasses. They also didn't have CGI. Today fighting looks much more real in films.
ReplyDelete2 Ways that have become a big difference since the 1950's is the Green Screen & the markers that you put on actors/actresses which took part in the movie ''Avatar''. To attribute this is making movies alot more better and more fun to watch. It is also very entertaining. I know i love watching it!

In the 1950s they did not know about the technolagy. In the fight scenes we watched from today and from the 1950s, todays looked a lot more real. When we watched the Godzilla traylor, it looked so weird because today we are all so acustume to mostly everything we watch in movies looks so real.
ReplyDeleteIn the 1950's, they did not have that much technology as much as we do now. Back then they didnt have speacial affects like we do now. See like we have 3D, 4D, CGI, and even more speacial effects more than we had back then. And now they make fighting action movies look more realistic now, but their not realy punching or kicking eachother for reals. All of these speacial effects have made a big difference in films, and they are very entertaing now.
ReplyDeleteThe technology in 1950's was not as advancedd as we have now. Technology has progressed alot since 1950's. Now we use CGI and fight scences are more relistic then they were in 1950's.
