Include at least two things you liked the most and two things you liked the least. Explain all of your comments and, when applicable, provide specific examples. 1. This class was somewhat fun but I had more work in this class than any other class. Two great things about this class were, all the movies we watched like Inception, and all the things we learned like color symbolism. Two thing I didn't like about this class were taking notes on films like The Freshman, and our final project.

  2. I surprisingly had a fun time in this class, and I learned so many cool things that I never would've known before. I really liked learning about the color symbolism, how you know something surprising is going to happen when Blue & Red are in the scene. Another thing that i liked in the class was watching Inception. Now I have the movie:) 2 Things I disliked was taking notes and watching silent films, But I guess it was okay in a way.

  3. This class was fun at some points, but sometimes it wasnt so great. I'm glad that they had this class as one of the exploritory classes. I espeacially liked watching movies in here, like Inception, and The Pink Panther. Another thing that I liked in here is our final project that we have to do. Two things that I disliked about this class is how we had to take notes on some of the movies that we watched, and I didnt like how we have tests on the notes that we took. But other then that, I really enjoyed this class!

  4. I very much enjoyed this class throughout the quarter. Two things in this class that I liked was the fact that after we took notes, you showed us movie clips that would go along with our notes. I also liked how our final project was drawing a movie poster. Two things I did not like in this class is when we had to make the chart on The Freshman. I also disliked how we had quizes and tests on the notes we had to take. All in all, I really liked this class!

  5. All year I thought this class was not going to be very enjoyable. I was wrong because I had a great pleasure being in this calss. I Enjoyed learning about color symbolism and watching movies. Some of the few things I disliked in Film were, the quizes and tests of course, and taking notes on certain films. in the end you have opened my mind to the world of film. I would've never realized how interesting film can be, thank you.

  10. I liked that we got to do a movie poster as a project. Another thing I liked was that we got to learn some cool things about how we can know whats going to happen in the next scence just from knowing an angle shot. I thought that the blog comments was a good idea. This class was a cool class, I had a good time.

  11. Out of all exploratory classes, this was by far my favorite. I didn't think it was going to be fun and I was not looking foward to it at all but it turns out I was wrong. My two favorite things in this class were being able to watch movies, and also having the privilege to learn about the history behind some great films. There was only one thing i disliked about this class and that was having to take quizes and notes on the movies. However, I still had alot of fun with Film Analysis.

  12. Out of every exploretory class this is my second favorite. My first is p.e.. The two things i liked the most about this class is we get to learn how to make special effects and we get to watch movies. Two of the things i liked the least was doing work and writing in our adgenda. Overall this was a great class.

  13. Honestly, I thought I was going to be totally into this class. I liked watching movies, of course, and learning about things like color symbolism and special effects. But to be honest, I think this class was plagued with notes and this reason affected a lot a really good, classic movies. The Freshman, for example. I was so busy doing a worksheet that I really couldn't enjoy it. But otherwise, it was a good class, and i'm very glad the school district is expanding their horizons from just soccer and football.

  14. Well, before I even started the class, many people told me that it was boring, but i had lot's of fun. I thought the class was a good class to teach. One of my favorite things I liked was how we had blog comments. I liked the blog comments because they allowed my to express myself about the topic we were learning thst week. Another thing I liked was the movies, of course. Like everyone else the movies were no doubt one of the reasons I liked the class so much. My favorite movie was "The Flinstones Meet The Jetsons". That mvie is one of my favorite animations of all time. One thing I did not like was the choices for the final project. I did not like the choices because, having the poster made it too easy for some. Many people chose the poster because it was easier, including me. Another thing I did not like was how we took the notes. The notes about the genres bothered me, because, the way we did them and watched the films and took notes was a different way, but it was really wierd to me. Although I did not like these things I liked the class more then my other elective.

  15. I had a really great time in film this year. It was fun learning all of the mistakes that the directors make in movies, like in Batman.I also liked learning what all of the colors meant and I never knew that they were used for the kind of emotion or scene in movies. The two things I disliked about this class was not learning more about film making and taking notes on different films. I am so happy that I was able to be in this class this year and I have definately learned a lot!

  16. Surprisingly, I liked this class a lot. Two great things I liked were watching all the movies like Inception. I also liked the final project, it was a fun experience learning how to make the movie. I did not like taking notes on The Freshman, and I also did not like all the notes. Out of all the electives I liked this second best, to PE, but I overall really liked this class.

  18. Film class i thought was really fun. The two things I liked the most were watching all the different movies, and the blog I liked looking at what other people had to say. The thing I didnt like was taking the notes but i did like all the information we got from it, and the other thing i didnt like was when my blog comment wasnt being able to post. Thanks I really had a fun time in your class.

About Me

My photo
I wouldn't call myself an expert at film history, but I've always had an interest in it. Years ago, I took my first film analysis class and it changed the way I thought about movies when I watched them. It opened my mind and broadened my perspective in a way that made movie watching so much more enjoyable. Now when I watch movies I'm able to look beyond the surface story and really dig into the heart of the film maker's message. I notice things like color and camera angles and it makes me feel like I know more about the movie than the average Joe. The whole movie experience has changed for me and I hope that this class opens the same doors for you as well.
